March 2004
Stage One of the Renovations Included...
Taking down the wall at stage right, building a new floor at stage right; building a wall at stage right; constructing two columns on either side of the stage; lowering the front curtains; building a valence at the front of the stage; making a doorway in the brick wall at stage right and installing a door; painting the areas around the stage (including the front of the stage) black; painting the lower portion of the walls in the house black; removing the partitions from the mens and ladies washrooms; painting the washrooms; laying new floors in the washrooms; installing new lights in the washrooms; repairing the washroom doors; replacing the toilet seats; scraping away old paint in the lobby; painting the lobby red, yellow and black; painting small murals in the lobby; constructing a wall with three solid core doors, in order to create a hallway in the lobby; cleaning; scrubbing; scraping away chewing gum; taking apart each of the 120 seats in order to make repairs; cursing (a little bit).
Summer 2004
Stage One "B" of the Renovations Included...
Traveling to Fredericton with a group of volunteers to dismantle, remove and transport 200 seats from the balcony. Thanks to the Fairmont Algonquin, all of the seats made it back to St. Andrews where they sat in storage until...
March 2005
Stage Two of the Renovations Included...
Having all the seats repadded and reupolstered; Removing all of the old seats; drilling holes for the new seats; painting the floor; building a two foot section, the full width of the stage; replacing hardwood with blackwood on the stage; hanging the "legs" (curtains); hanging the "backstage" curtain; cleaning; laying carpet at the front of the house; installing light and sound equipment; installing light, sound and television booth; installing piano platform; installing safety "crash" bars on the theatre doors.
Spring 2007

Creating backstage areas (green room, dressing room, storage areas, etc.).
